Well I didn’t quite make Christmas… But I did get it done in 2020!
Realms of Antiquity: The Shattered Crown is now released! Digital edition is available immediately, collector’s editions are in pre-order and will ship late January/early February.
I’ve put together a website for it here, you’ll find links to the store to purchase it on the product page:
http://quixotic.adamantyr.com/
I’ve created a topic on AtariAge as well, as an additional resource for questions and information.
Excelsior! Time to see how long before I have to release a new build…
Congratulations and well done!
Congratulations!!
Congratulations… and I just ordered a copy!
Congratulations to the release! I just got my digital edition. 🙂
Congrats!
It’s kinda like tossing the ring into the fire and stepping back!
Congrats! Looking forward to finishing the game!
Enjoying it a lot.
Question: when a character equips an item that is + to a skill, should that show up on the skill when it’s equipped? Right now it’s not.
Have found a lot of fun things but right now stumped trying to find a certain musical instrument below a certain priory.
Hmm it should be showing. Which item specifically?
Hint: Sense spell. Or push on walls.
Thanks! Found it before your hint by realizing I was looking on the wrong level.
As to the items: Wizard equips Magi’s Hat and Mystic Athame, both of which say +1 SOR (which I understood to be +1 to that skill), equipping doesn’t visibly change SOR skill. However, it does change CAST by 2 (but not power) — maybe that’s what it’s supposed to do?
Yeah, it’s working as intended. The Skills list shows un-adjusted values prior to equipment bonuses being applied. The next page with Melee, Defense, etc. will show altered values based upon equipment.
Great! Thanks. Really loving the game. I learned to love gaming as a young teen playing Ultima III on an Apple IIe, and this is giving me the nostalgic feel for those carefree summer nights so long ago, far more than any glitzy triple-A title.
Wow, thank you! I appreciate hearing that. When I was a kid I had to stare at magazine ads for games on other computers and sigh and wish I could play them…
Congrats on the release!
I’m not a TI user, I only ever had a 99/4A briefly when I was a kid, they were not common here in Sweden where Commodore owned the market, and I have no idea how I found this blog, but it’s still been in my list of feeds for years and I’ve always enjoyed seeing the new screenshots and reading about the programming details.
It’s great to see it finished!
I know its been a long road mate! Congrats on getting it completed.
Thanks Stu! Good to see you kicking around. 😀
